In a significant development for the Australian Muslim community, two of its most dedicated service organisations, Invictus Solutions and 5 Before 5, will announce their merger officially on the 2nd July.
The new entity, 5 Before 5 Solutions, is poised to offer a comprehensive support system, guided by the combined vision of respective founders Dean Mousad (Invictus Solutions) and Yousef Alkarnaz (5 Before 5).
The merger operates on the principle of being “Stronger Together”, strategically blending the proactive, preventative ethos of Yousef Alkarnaz’s 5 Before 5 with the responsive, crisis-support expertise of Dean Mousad’s Invictus Solutions.
This integration creates a unique, full-spectrum service that supports individuals throughout their entire life journey.
“By blending 5 before 5’s proactive personal growth with Invictus Solutions’ responsive support expertise, we cover the full journey,” the founders said in a statement.

“The goal of our merger is to reach more people and guide every individual towards sustainable, holistic growth.”
The organisation’s name and philosophy are rooted in a well-known Prophetic tradition.
Narrated by Ibn Abbas, the Prophet Muhammad (s) advised, “Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your illness, your riches before your poverty, your free-time before your work and your life before your death”.
This powerful hadith serves as the foundational charter for the new entity, providing a spiritually authentic framework for personal development.
This vision is structured around three core pillars of impact: SELF, focusing on mastering one’s mind, body and spirit; COMMUNITY, aimed at growing and serving together locally; and UMMAH, which looks to unite hearts beyond borders for collective good.
This holistic approach is reflected in a dynamic suite of new programs, including the standout initiative Careers Safari Program, one of the first programs in Australia to combine professional career counselling with a guaranteed work placement during school holidays, thus allowing students to not just learn about careers, but to “live them”.

The synergy of the new organisation is embodied by its founders.
Dean Mousad is a registered counsellor known for his effective, faith-inspired approach and his own “lived experience” in overcoming personal challenges.
He is also the co-founder of high profile charities Brothers In Need and Project Quran, which have both stood the test of time.
Yousef Alkarnaz is known throughout the local Muslim community as an outstanding leader and brings many years of experience in education and youth development, having mentored hundreds of students to help them prosper in their worldly and spiritual lives.
5 Before 5 Solutions aims to forge a community where individuals have “bodies fit, minds resilient, spirits grounded and ambitions propelled from classrooms to careers”.
The organisation was due to mark its official launch at a special event on 2 July at the headquarters of OnePath at Regents Park in southwest Sydney, after this edition of AMUST was already with the printers.
The merger signals a new, integrated era of community service, promising a lasting impact for generations to come.
